The ARK DOG approach
Your dog isn’t a package.
Training shouldn’t be either.
Your dog brings a personality, a history, and a way of seeing the world. Your training plan should start there.
We focus on relationship, state of mind, and clear communication. Through balanced training and practical owner guidance, we help build skills that carry into life at home and out in the world.
That means understanding your dog first—and helping you become part of the progress.
Start with your dog’s needs
Where would you like life to get better?
You don’t need to choose a training format before we understand your dog.
Puppy development
Build routines, confidence and communication from the beginning.
Explore puppy development ↗Obedience & life skills
Develop engagement, leash manners and useful habits at home and out in the world.
Explore obedience ↗Behavior modification
Begin with the history behind fear, reactivity, guarding or aggression.
Explore behavior support ↗One philosophy. Three ways to train.
Training shouldn’t happen without you.
Board & Train, hands-on Owner Train and guided virtual coaching all follow the same process: understand the dog, build the relationship and teach the owner.
Even Board & Train requires you to meet and work with your trainer and dog regularly throughout the program.

Start well. Grow together.
A better beginning for your puppy.
The early months are a chance to build the relationship, routines, and foundations your puppy will grow with.
Our premium Puppy Board & Train gives your puppy a comprehensive foundation through daily professional training, with regular sessions where you learn and work alongside us throughout the program. Prefer to take the lead on daily training? Owner Train gives you hands-on coaching as you build your puppy’s skills between sessions. For puppies under six months, the $800 virtual program offers four weeks of guidance while you do the training at home. If you need more help, we’re here to discuss a move to Board & Train or Owner Train.

A few good questions
Before you begin.
Where do you work?
We’re based in Snyder and serve families across West Texas, including Midland/Odessa, Lubbock, Abilene, and San Angelo. Availability and travel depend on your location and training plan.
What does balanced training mean at ARK DOG?
We use motivation, clear communication, and appropriate structure while considering the individual dog. Our focus is the dog’s state of mind, the relationship with the owner, and skills that work in everyday life.
Can you help with reactivity or aggression?
These concerns begin with an honest review of your dog’s history and behavior. Please include any snapping or bite incidents in the application so we can evaluate fit and discuss an appropriate next step.
Do I have to choose a program before applying?
No. Tell us what you’re experiencing and what you hope to change. We’ll use your application and consultation to help identify the right approach.
